The Most Valuable Skill to have as an Internet Marketer

The most valuable skill to have as an Internet Marketer is writing. Other people believe that the most valuable skill is email marketing, or sales marketing. But...if you learn the art of writing, then you'd able to write content for your website, write your own ebook, write your autoresponders emails and of course you can write your very own original articles. Articles are a way to get you unlimited traffic to your website by writing short articles related to the subject of that site.

The benefits of writing articles are tremendous. Writing articles creates the traffic you need to make money. And best of all it's free. You can submit your articles to Ezine publishers and article directories, which can expose you to tens of thousands of Internet users. Of the thousands of readers who read your articles, some will click the links in your article, Visit your site, and purchase your products. Articles build trust and credibility. Readers who do click to your site are pre-sold Because they see you as an expert.

Learn how to write articles

When I started writing articles I was overwhelmed by the numerous subjects. Don't start letting yourself come up with the reasons why that could be true for other people but not for you. You can learn to write articles from the beginning to the end. And as you get experienced you will find it more enlightening every day.

There are thousands of resources on the Internet that teaches the skills of writing. Here is a free resource that will teach you the art of writing your own ebook in less than a week. Just send a blank email to get more information to mailto:ebkmkec-2108@responsebot.com This will teach you the in's and out's of writing your own ebook, and that's a start for anyone willing to learn copyrighting.

You don't need to write a masterpiece. You can write from 300 to 500 words articles in no time. Your Heading is the most valuable piece of your article. You need to grab the readers attention from the beginning to the end. When people read articles they want information they can use right away. Write about a subject that will be beneficial to the readers.

Submitting your article

After you finish writing your article and decide to submit to the articles directories, make sure you run a spelling check, and check what format is required plain text, html or both. Add a resource box and list your website URL. List your URL both way wrapped and the link itself. Some of the articles directories stripped hyperlinks that are wrapped.

When you submit your articles to Ezines check their publishing guidelines, since they differ from those at the articles directories. Find out what are their guidelines, before you submit your articles. There are utilities to format articles or solo ads for submitting to Ezines the best one I found to be Ezy Ezine Ad Formatter. See my resource box and send me an email for more information.

Don't plagiarize someone's else's work since most of the article directories check for this on the web. You can acquire new articles ideas by visiting the articles banks and FAQ's on various sites on the Internet. Or you can use unbranded articles written by ghostwriters or from membership sites that you belong to.

Pick good keywords

Getting to pick the good keywords is very critical to the success of your article. You need to choose the best keywords and you'll choose the right audience for your article. It means you connect with the most potential targeted traffic on the web, this way you can earn more with your sales, and it's free.

Match the keywords to your article content and you'll reach an audience that wants what you're promoting. Be specific. If you're selling ebooks, use specific keywords like 'how to ebooks' instead of general keywords like ebooks. Someone searching for ebooks could be looking for any kind of ebook, and for many different reasons.

This is what you need to remember, writing articles creates the traffic you need to make money. They build trust and credibility. That there are thousands of Internet resources that teaches writing skills. Choosing the right keywords is critical to the success of your article. The difference between a good article and a mediocre one is often the difference between successful site that earns thousands of dollars a week and one that barely make ends meet.

How To Get Free Targeted Traffic Using Articles

No doubt that the number one method to get free traffic to your website is by writing and submitting articles to the article directories. Article writing is probably a favorite way of generating traffic. Article marketing has the ability to make your site highly popular not only to the general public, but also the major search engines.

The advantage of writing and submitting the articles is that you can control the contents and the titles of the pages it is published on. If you go to any article directory and click on an article, then you will notice that the title of the page is the title of the article. So, if you write your title correctly containing all your relevant keywords, you just acquired links with your keywords in the title of the page. That helped the power of the link. But, if you manage to get your keywords of keywords phrases in the content of your article then you just made your article more stronger.

For this method to work you must consistently saturate the web with your articles, one article a week won't do the job. If you can't write or you think that you can't keep up by writing articles or don't have the time , there are a ghostwriters that will do the job for you. You can join a membership sites that will provide with the articles you need. Be aware that when submitting your articles is imperative that you include a resource box with your URL or a back link to your website.

Automate Your Article Submissions

These days, it is absolutely critical to get high quality, one-way links to your website. Reciprocal linking just isn't anywhere near as effective as it once was. The problem that I, and most people are running into is it's hard to figure out how to get one-way links, let alone high quality ones. One of the absolute best, and even better... "easiest" ways to get these quality, one way links is by submitting your articles to article directories.

Make your life easier and save time by using software to automate your business. The more articles you write and submit to directories the more traffic and back links you will build for your website. This is where a software program comes along into your business automation process.

The software will allow you to submit your articles to literally hundreds of popular article directories all over the world. Only a few mouse clicks and you'll be able to instantly submit your articles. It's taken the tedious process of finding and filling out these submission forms, is incredibly easy and fast.

Where else can you generate free traffic and links in only a few months? If you want to succeed in the online marketing puzzle, you had better make writing and submitting articles just as regular as your brushing your teeth in the morning. You are prone to have a lame business without articles, I kid you not. The traffic surge does not happen over night, but by the following month you will start seeing a good increase in targeted traffic coming to your website.

2 Surefire Ways To Maximize Your Adsense Earnings

Most webmasters know that Adsense generates a sizeable source of additional advertising income. That is why most of them use it to go after high paying keywords. They have with them the lists that tells what the keywords are and have already used various methods of identifying them. And yet, after putting up these supposed-to-be high paying keywords into their pages, the money they expected to come rolling in is not really coming in.

What is it that they are doing wrong?

Having the pages is with the proper keywords is one thing. But driving visitors to those pages is another matter and often the factor that is lacking.

The thing is, to get visitors to your high paying keyword pages, you need to optimize your site navigation.

Stop for a moment and think about how visitors are using your website. After a visitor has landed on a certain page, they have the tendency to click on another page that sounds interesting. They get there because of the other links that appears on a page that they initially landed on. This is site navigation. It is all about enabling visitors to move about your site. And one way of maximizing your Adsense earnings.

A typical website have menu links on each page. The wording on these links is what grabs a visitor’s attention and gets them to click on one of the links that will take them to another page of that website. Links that have “free’ or “download” are oftentimes good attention-grabbers.

This navigation logic can also be applied to driving traffic to your high paying pages. There are some websites that are getting a lot of traffic from search engines, but have low earnings. The trick is to try and use come cleverly labeled links to get the visitors off that pages and navigate them to the higher earning ones. This is one great way of turning real cheap clicks to real dollars.

Before you begin testing if this same style will work for you and you website, you need to have two things. Something to track and compare and some high earning pages you want to funnel your site traffic to. An option is to select a few of your frequently visited pages. This is ensuring fast result to come by.

Now, the next thing to do is think of ways to get visitors viewing a particular page to try and click on the link that will take them to your high earning pages. Come up with a catchy description for that link. Come up with a catchy and unique description for the link. Think of something that people do not get to see everyday. That will trigger their curiosity enough to try and see what that was all about.

You can also use graphics to grab your readers’ attention. There is no limitation to what you can do to make your link noticeable. If you are after the success of your site, you will do everything it takes just to achieve that goal. Just be creative. As far as many Adsense advertisers are concerned, there are no written and unwritten laws to follow regarding what they write. Just as long as you do not overstep the guidelines of the search engines, then go for it.

Also remember that it is all about location, location and location. Once the perfect attention grabbing description has been achieved, you have to identify the perfect spot on your page to position that descriptive link to your high paying page.

There is nothing wrong with visiting other websites to see how they are going about maximizing their site navigation. “Hot pages” or “Most read” lists are very common and overly used already. Get to know the ones that many websites are using and do not try to imitate them.

Another way of doing it is to try and use different texts on different pages. That way you will see the ones that work and what does not. Try to mix things around also. Put links on top and sometimes on the bottom too. This is how you go about testing which ones get more clicks and which ones are being ignored.

Let the testing begin. Testing and tracking until you find the site navigation style that works best for you site.

Cash and Pay-per-click Affiliate Programs

Millions are paying to get a ride on the Information Super Highway everyday. Now, it is widely known that the Internet is an accessible resource of many income-generating activities. Whether you belong to a private sales company or you are just interested in internet marketing, PPC affiliate programs can be a powerful venue to make money from the Internet. A partnership with an affiliate merchant is a win-win situation for the merchant and the affiliate: sales are soaring because of exposure and traffic while the affiliate is earning good cash.

To make things much simpler: the affiliate merchant provides a strip of advertisement and pays you when someone clicks on the ad’s link. You can get a commission of $0.10 to $0.30 for every click, but it sometimes it can go higher depending on your merchant affiliate. Sometimes, merchants require a quota ($1.4 for every 1000 clicks). Plus, you can get discounts from your merchant affiliates if you happen to like their products too. You can just kick back and relax while your website is generating cash. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

What is PCC Affiliate Program?

PPC means pay-per-click, wherein you get in partnership with an affiliate company that literally pays you for every click. There are actually two types of PCC affiliate programs – those who pay a commission based on the number of clicks and the other based on the sales. The pay-per-click scheme is much more popular than pay-per-lead because the affiliate gets paid by just clicking the ad, regardless of whether the visitor buys from the affiliate merchant or not. Plus the chances of a visitor purchasing something from the affiliate merchant are not really that high.

In choosing an affiliate program, read the fine print carefully – some pay-per-click programs get the ratio of the number of people who went to your site and the actual people who clicked on the ad. If you have a heavily targeted website, this can hurt your earnings.

How do I start?

Of course, you need to have a website. Depending on your target audience, choose the best affiliate merchant that is most related to your topic. For example, your website is about Carpentry then you can search for affiliate programs that sell tools used in carpentry.

However, if you don’t have a website, that’s not a problem. You can put up a content site about absolutely anything under the sun like ‘Taking Care of Dogs’ or ‘Decorating your own Home.’ But wait, its not over yet. We are faced by a dilemma – on how to increase traffic! You first need to get internet surfers to see your website, then the ad.

How do I increase my traffic?

First, design your website in such a way that it will attract internet users. A user-friendly site is always recommended so that the customers will know which one to click. Take into consideration the look and feel of the advertisement. If it doesn’t look professional, most likely, users will just ignore it. Place the ad on a strategic location – one where users can see it clearly. Visibility of the ad is always important.

Another way is to post a link to your website in forums, web communities, ezine articles or bulletin boards. However, this method requires a lot of effort – that defeats your purpose of getting easy money in the first place! The key is to do something once and forget about it. It’s like putting your business on autopilot. To maintain you pay-per-click business, be sure to track down site activity, so you are updated on how much money you are making.

Can I make more money?

If you think you can go to the next level, you can try a two-tier affiliate program. This gives you the power to recruit affiliates. Other than the money you get from your website’s clicks, you will also get a percentage of what your affiliate generates. Some companies give 30% to a soaring 50% commission on all referral sales.

Remember, you should be able to manage and monitor your affiliate program. If you can recruit more affiliates, then you can get paid more without even moving a finger! Choose affiliates that can most likely attract more internet users and bring more traffic. You just have to know the right people.

How To Use eBooks for Marketing Your Online Business

There are innumerable ways to use ebooks to promote your business and drive quality traffic to your website. Once posted on your site, you can turn them into a daily course, which brings your customer back to read the next chapter. You can use them as a free gift for making a purchase or for filling out a survey. Put your ebook on a disc, and you will have an innovative brochure. Blow your competition away by inserting the disc into your sales packages.

The most effective marketing products are those that are unique. Copyright your ebook, and immediately, you have a powerful tool that you, and you alone, can offer to the public. People will have to visit your site to acquire your ebook, which increases the flow of quality traffic and the potential of sales and affiliate contacts.

Make sure that you keep your ebook current. Update it frequently as the market and trends change. Add new advice and techniques to show your prospects how your goods or services can enrich their lives. By constantly keeping abreast of new trends and techniques, you can continue to see profits from your ebook for years after your original creation.

Another huge advantage of ebooks is that you can test their marketing potential without putting out hardly any cash at all. You can even produce an ebook one copy at a time, each time you receive an order, eliminating the need for storage and inventory. By this method, you can gauge the saleablity of your ebook, and make adjustments as necessary until the orders start pouring in. Ebooks allow you to learn about your market and customer habits and motivation over a period of time, without risking your precious financial resources. They also provide you with an invaluable way to gather marketing information, which you can use in many different facets of your online business.

Use your ebook to discover what the specific goals and problems are in your specific industry. Then figure out how to solve these problems, and publish an ebook with this invaluable information. This will increase the value of your business, upgrade your reputation, and get you known as an expert in your field.

You can extend the value of single ebook by breaking the book down into chapters for an online or email course, into special reports available on your website, or into audio or visual tapes. Ebooks can be broken down into several different promotional materials by excepting some of the articles and using them to promote your product. You can include a catalog in your ebook to promote all the products or services you sell. You can include a thank-you note for reading your book and an invitation to download a trial version of your product. Or you can include a form for your audience to contact you for further information or with questions, thereby building your business relationships and your mailing list.

Using ebooks in this manner helps to cut the cost of individually producing separate promotional materials. You can use a single ebook to entice new prospects and to sell new products to your current customers.

No other medium has this kind of flexibility and ability for expansion. Think of your ebook like a spider spinning a beautiful and intricate web. Now go and create that web, and see how many customers and leads you can catch on your web!

To Succeed on The Internet You Need a Master Plan

No matter what your product is, you're not selling on the Internet. You get it! You are marketing a product. That's why you have to have a master plan to succeed.

The problem with the Internet is that there is too much junk, informational junk there is. There is no shortage of ebooks and marketing programs devoted to making money on the Internet. The problem is that most of them are either incomplete, written by people who never tried Internet marketing or in disarray.

Is this happened to you...you had joined worthless memberships, lots of money spent in ebooks and articles. You go find another business opportunity after another, and you think... Hey, this might be the right profitable niche... But they are not!

After you've tried, they do not work and you feel like someone has pulled the rug under your feet once more time.. Then you get stomach cramps just by thinking how you going to make it when you don't have that much money from your severance pay left, and you've resigned your full time job to devote the whole time to your Internet business.

You visit hundreds of forums post your comments hoping that they will buy from you but nothing happens. While you are not allowed to advertise, moderators do advertise their products and make money doing so from people like you that are desperate and vulnerable to their offers.

You bought articles because you can't write 25 to 50 articles a day, it will take you a whole week to write and article and come up with some good content, and like the Guru's told you to do... You hire someone to submit the articles to the directories without even knowing that they might or not be submitted...and you don't have much time left during the forums, blogs and free classifieds wrangling to check that your articles get submitted.

It gets worse... Google canceled your adsense account because you started to click on your own links to make some Adsense money... by trying to cheat the system now you have zip. Google keep track of the illegal clicks by verifying the IP addresses against their publishers IP's.

Now, Adwords is has become very expensive. You're getting a couple of clicks here and there because you just piled a thousands of keywords together and now Google is charging you $.50, $5, $10 a click because your click thru rate (CTR) is too low. So you will have to pay the highest bid if you want some clicks coming to your website and there is not guarantee that they will buy anything.

You already tried Search Engine Optimization (SEO), the gurus BS, webinars, teleseminars, more articles submissions, you bought more ebooks, ah.. and also tried Joint Ventures (JV's) too.

Now you go back and you try affiliate marketing...again! Maybe this time there is an affiliate out there that has a good product, hoping that the sales page is a super one. Then you buy PPC clicks and more Adwords and still only one sale here and there... Not enough to buy you a stamp to send your unpaid bills. Not to mention the thief's that steal commissions from the Clickbank affiliates.

SO, what do you do after everything has failed.. Do you throw the towel? ..Like always you call on the big Guru's and they will tell you that you should never quit. That they have this brand new program or a super affiliate ebook that will get you going once again and you'll be in profit in no time!

I'm sure you know by now that most TOP Internet Guru's are charging an arm and a leg for their seminars, boot camps and coaching classes.

And investing in all the tools you need to get started and running online can be very costly in the long run especially if you're acquiring them one by one.

And we know that most individuals like you don't have the deep pockets and plenty of room for mistakes and risks. Trying to work all this out for yourself will waste you so much time and money. Needless to say that you're probably already knee-deep in debt right now.

No matter what ... If you want to succeed...you need to have a PLAN...a business plan or some sort of guidance that you will follow. If you don't have a plan.. you're planning to fail!

If you're looking right now for proven ways to have success find one program that you will receive the highest level of training through teleseminars, transcripts, videos, and more.. that you will receive the technical support that will help to launch your online business.

Glanfield Marketing Solutions, has addressed it with his BBO traffic formula. This four week extensive training program is designed especially for beginners who know absolutely nothing about making money online.

The four week program includes audio training, video training, and written manuals. Step by step instructions that walk you through every facet of marketing - finding a product, deciding how to market it, finding and maintaining traffic and planning for the long term.

This isn't just training, this is a complete business building program. Not only do they have an excellent traffic course, also includes top-notch technical and customer support that it will literally guide you from day one, where you know nothing, to the point where you actually begin to earn money.

Use this system to make your first dollar online within just 30 to 60 days... It is possible to become a successful affiliate marketer, and get loads of high quality traffic even if you are a complete beginner.

BOTTOM LINE? If you are new to marketing or a veteran that have not earn any money on the Internet, and have absolutely no idea where to start, use this plan. This four week program will be perfect for you. There simply isn’t a better program aimed at beginners anywhere to be found. Period.

How To Avoid Getting Unsolicited Email

Should you gotten hundreds of emails and wondered how do they get into your inbox? You might think that someone you subscribed with had sold your email for a buck profit.

Well. dear valued reader, you're wrong in that aspect. No one in his or her right mind. Or any Internet vendor will commit such horrendous and stupid act. Why? Insomuch as an opt-in lists is a precious asset for anyone doing business on the Internet.

Let's say I'm an Internet user and I just got myself a new Internet account with an email address for my friends and family to get in touch. Now this is my personal and private email address. When a person decides to give that email address away to someone else, they expect that their privacy to be respected... That's why we got a privacy act.

I like to give examples so you can get an idea what users on the Internet go through after they surrender their email address to a Safelists . What is a Safelists?? A Safelists is a group of people who let agreed to receive email opportunities from along with members in return for sending their own fortuity to all members.

Back to the example. We are going to call this user "Joe". When Joe is surfing the Internet he finds something that call his attention, but to get more information he has to give up that private and personal email address to someone that is not a family member or a friend.

After singing in on the subscription box, next thing it happens is that Joe gets a confirmation email asking him to confirm his email address. All Safelists are "double opt-in" meaning a new member must verify by email that they wish to join the list. In turn he can receive the information he requested. He proceeds to confirm the email and get the information on his email inbox in the form of a link or URL to download the report.

Now his email is listed on someone else’s opt in list. So. What happens next? Next day Joe open his email account and his email inbox is full with several hundreds of email messages offering him "the moon" and how to get rich quick on the Internet.

Do we miss the point? Yes he did signed in for information, but now he has an inbox full of email offers. He browses thru the list and suddenly figures out that he only gave the email address to this website that he had requested the free report. Remember what we said about a Safelists. A group of people who have agreed to receive email opportunities from other members.

Now he has a dilemma, since most of the information is not related of what he asked for, he's not interested on any of those subject headlines. Next thing to do for him is hit the 'select all' button and click delete. This will become more of a habit of Joe from now on...since every day that he opens his email his inbox is going to be full of a bunch of email that is annoying and he did not requested with different email address that that he does not recognize.

What happened? How the other people got Joe's private email? First thing in his mind is someone sold his email address to make a buck? Now Joe is disgruntled and untrustworthy of signing with any other opt-in list anywhere. This happens every day to millions of users on the Internet.

What’s the real truth? He signed up on a free for all list or commonly call 'FAA' Safelists. What is a Safelists? A Safelists is a group of people who have agreed to receive email opportunities from other members in return for sending their own opportunity to all members. As all members have agreed to receive messages from the other members, there can be no accusations of SPAM or unsolicited emails made against another member. All Safelists are "double opt-in" meaning a new member must verify by email that they wish to join the list.

When you submit your email address to one of these list you're bound to get hundreds of emails from their subscribers. Everyone that gets listed on the FAA page is entitled to send a "one time" email to this new subscriber email address. In turn your inbox ends up with hundreds of emails with offers.

The best first thing to do if you don't want to receive any emails like Joe... Is to avoid signing up with your own personal email address on a Safelists .

What's the solution? ...Get yourself a second email address that will not be your primary email address and you can use this new email to subscribe to opt-in lists to get free reports and other information that you want to receive.

You can get a free email address at Yahoo.com, Google, etc. or you can search for other free email providers on the Internet.

You got to remember that most free accounts are not accepted on some autoresponders opt-in forms. Also you will need to check this additional email address to clean up your inbox every month or your account will be deactivated.

Remember that when you subscribe or submit your email address you'll receive email in return. That's the marketing rule of the Internet.

10 Critical Steps To Affiliate Marketing

Everyone online who is making money with affiliate programs, was new at one time too. They had to learn how to market their business just like you do. You can do it if you are willing to learn, and copy what the successful affiliates are doing. So I am going to give you some affiliate internet marketing steps to help you get started.

10 Critical Steps To Affiliate Marketing

STEP 1: Promote yourself first, get your Own Website; The first step in any successful affiliate marketing business is building a good, credible and professional looking website.

STEP 2: Educate yourself in internet marketing. I don't just mean read. I mean read and take action. This is very important.

STEP 3: Build an Opt-In List; Building an opt-in email list is one of the best ways to gather prospects. Offer a newsletter or an e-zine.

STEP 4: Purchase Ad Space In Newsletters And E-zines. Advertise as much as you can. Getting your website out their is the key to making money. If people are not seeing your business, they will not sign up.

STEP 5: Submit Articles; This is one of the best ways to advertise, plus it is free. If you don't know how, there are ebooks, and courses that will teach you.

STEP 6: Join forums about internet marketing, affiliate programs, or affiliate marketing. They will not only help you learn different ways to advertise, but you can use them to advertise your business.

STEP 7: Start a Google Adwords campaign or pay per click (PPC). This is where you bid on keywords that match what you are selling. I don't suggest this one unless you learn how to do it.

STEP 8: Buy a solo ad from a newsletter or ezine that has a list of customers. These customers already trust the person running the newsletter. So all you have to do is do a search on any search engine to find out where you can buy a solo ad from.

STEP 9: Join a traffic exchange. These are free to use. You place an ad with them. Than you surf for credits, or buy them on some. When you have enough credits, they will show your ad in exchange for those credits.

STEP 10: Think Long Term; Your plans should include growth potential and the future expansion of your market. You should also plan for gradual increases in personal benefits with large portions of the profits going back into your business to provide for future growth.

The important thing is to learn, and take action with what you have learned. If you don't, you will not make any money. However, you are the only one who knows how bad you want to be successful. So try telling yourself that quitting is not an option, and do what it takes. You can and will be a success if you want it badly enough.

So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose?

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

Affiliate Marketing: Why is it One of the Most Cost-Effective Ways to Advertise your Business

Ever heard of affiliate programs? These are forms of Internet advertising that rewards the affiliates for driving traffic to the advertiser or for other transactions. The advertiser pays the affiliate to place a link on their website, and the affiliate sends traffic to the advertiser in return. Simply put, it's about paying commissions to people who help you make sales. It's that easy. NOT.

Affiliate marketing has its ups and downs. It could be draining if you are not armed with updated information and the technical how-tos. But this article's sole objective is to reach out to you and not to badmouth affiliate marketing.

Here are the following reasons on why web marketers go gaga over affiliate marketing as a form of Internet advertisement.

1. Low cost

Many are scared to go on a home based business because of the capital required. In affiliate marketing, you don't have to spend much to start raking in moolah.

2. Inventories not included

Product management fuss could be very stressing. An inventory is not asked to be maintained. The merchant does the maintenance required.

3. Unlimited income through leverage

When you have a paid job, your monthly income mainly relies on whether you go to work or not. With affiliate marketing, your affiliates could all just lead traffic to your site without having to lift a finger after providing them your ad copy and links. Though not every web marketer earns limitless, it still is a fact that all the necessary matters for the advertiser or Internet marketer are all there to be successful.

4. Go worldwide

With affiliate marketing, you are dealing with a global market place. All you have to do is choose a niche product and prepare all the necessary tools for your affiliates to lead traffic from just about anywhere to your website.

5. Low risk

The very main reason for Internet marketer's enthusiasm with affiliate marketing is its having a low risk factor. Especially for those with low budget set aside for advertising, affiliate marketing is just the way to do it.

6. No closing time

With affiliate marketing, your business works every single second of the day while targeting a worldwide market! What could be better than that?

But all of these will be put to waste if you don't have the right niche product and all the other important tools to make it big in affiliate marketing, i.e., well-SEO-ed website. So better work on this first before ever considering those benefits.

How To Avoid The 3 Most Common Affiliate Mistakes

Affiliate marketing is one of the most effective and powerful ways of earning some money online. This program gives everybody a chance to make a profit through the Internet. Since these affiliate marketing programs are easy to join, implement and pays a commission on a regular basis, more an more people are now willing in this business.

However, like all businesses, there are lots of pitfalls in the affiliate marketing business. Committing some of the most common mistakes will cost the marketers a large portion taken from the profit they are making everyday. That is why it is better to avoid them than be regretful in the end.

Mistake number 1: Choosing the wrong affiliate.

Many people want to earn from affiliate marketing as fast as possible. In their rush to be part of one, they tend to choose a bandwagon product. This is the kind of products that the program thinks is “hot”. They choose the product that is in demand without actually considering if the product appeals to them. This is not a very wise move obviously.

Instead of jumping on the bandwagon, try top choose a product in which you are truly interested in. For any endeavor to succeed, you should take some time to plan and figure out your actions.

Pick a product that appeals to you. Then do some research about that product to see if they are in demand. Promoting a product you are more passionate about is easier than promoting one for the sake of the earnings only.

Mistake number 2: Joining too many affiliate programs.

Since affiliate programs are very easy to join, you might be tempted to join multiples of affiliate programs to try and maximize the earnings you will be getting. Besides you may think that there is nothing wrong and nothing to lose by being part of many affiliate programs.

True, that is a great way to have multiple sources of income. However, joining multiple programs and attempting to promote them all at the same time will prevent you from concentrating on each one of them.

The result? The maximum potential of your affiliate program is not realized and the income generated will not exactly be as huge as you were thinking initially it would. The best way to get excellent result is by joining just one program that pays a 40% commission at least. Then give it your best effort by promoting your products enthusiastically. As soon as you see that it is already making a reasonable profit, then maybe you can now join another affiliate program.

The technique is to do it slowly but surely. There is really no need to rush into things, especially with affiliate marketing. With the way things are going, the future is looking real bright and it seems affiliate marketing will be staying for a long time too.

Mistake number 3: Not buying the product or using the service.

As an affiliate, you main purpose is to effectively and convincingly promote a product or service and to find customers. For you to achieve this purpose, you must be able to relay to the customers that certain product and service. It is therefore difficult for you to do this when you yourself have not tried these things out. Thus, you will fail to promote and recommend them convincingly. You will also fail to create a desire in your customers to avail any of what you are offering.

Try the product or service personally first before you sign up as an affiliate to see if it is really delivering what it promises. If you have done so, then you are one of the credible and living testaments aware of its advantages and disadvantages. Your customers will then feel the sincerity and truthfulness in you and this will trigger them to try them out for themselves.

Many affiliate marketers makes these mistakes and are paying dearly for their actions. To not fall into the same situation they have been in, try to do everything to avoid making the same mistakes.

Time is the key. Take the time to analyze your marketing strategy and check if you are in the right track. If done properly, you will be able to maximize your affiliate marketing program and earn higher profits.

Using Product Recommendations To Increase Your Bottom Line

In affiliate marketing, there are many ways in which you can increase your earnings and maintain the account that you have worked so hard for already. Most of the techniques and tactics can be learned easily. No need to go anywhere and any further. They are available online, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

One of the more important ways of increasing affiliate marketing bottom line and sale is through the use of product recommendations. Many marketers know that this is one of the most effective ways in promoting a certain product.

If the customers or visitors trust you enough, then they will definitely trust your recommendations. Be very careful in using this approach, though. If you start promoting everything by recommendation, your credibility will actually wear thin. This is seen especially when recommendations are seemingly exaggerated and without much merit.

Do not be afraid to mention things that you do not like about a given product or service. Rather than lose any points for you, this will make your recommendation more realistic and will tend to increase your credibility.

Furthermore, if your visitors are really interested in what you are offering, they will be more than delighted to learn what is good about the product, what is not so good, and how the product will benefit them.

When you are recommending a certain product, there are some things to remember on how to make it work effectively and for your advantage.

Sound like the true and leading expert in your field.

Remember this simple equation: Price resistance diminishes in direct proportion to trust. If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche, they are more inclined to making that purchase. On the other hand, if you are not exuding any confidence and self-assurance in endorsing your products, they will probably feel that same way and will go in search of another product or service which is more believable.

How do you establish this aura of expertise? By offering unique and new solutions they would not get anywhere else. Show proof that what you are promoting works as promised. Display prominent testimonials and endorsements from respected and known personalities, in related fields of course.

Avoid hype at all costs. It is better to sound low key and confident, than to scream and seek attention. Besides, you would not want to sound unprofessional and have that thinking stick to your potential customers and clients, now would you? Best to appear cool and self-assured at the same time.

And remember; prospects are not stupid. They are actually turning to experts and may already know the things that you know. If you back up your claims with hard facts and data, they would gladly put down hundreds, or even thousands worth of money to your promotions. But if you don’t, they are smart enough to try and look at your competitors and what they are offering.

While recommending a product, it is also important that you give out promotional freebies. People are already familiar with the concept of offering freebies to promoting your won products. But very few people do this to promote affiliate products. Try to offer freebies that can promote or even have some information about your products or services.

Before you add recommendations to you product, it is given that you should try and test the product and support. Do not run the risk of promoting junk products and services. Just think how long it took you to build credibility and trust among your visitors. All that will take to destroy it is one big mistake on your part.

If possible, have recommendations of products that you have 100% confidence in. Test the product support before you begin to ensure that the people you are referring it to would not be left high and dry when a problem suddenly arouse.

Have a look at your affiliate market and look at the strategies you are using. You may not be focusing on the recommendations that your products need to have. You plan of action is sometimes not the only thing that is making your program works.

Try product recommendation and be among those few who have proven its worth.

A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer

Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the internet at your disposable. It is much easier now compared to the days when people have to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along.

So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would sound something like this…

Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track on.

The site design has to be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliate’s conversion rates.

That done, it is time to submit the affiliate program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These directories are means to attract people in joining your affiliate program. A sure way of promoting the affiliate program.

Time to track down the sales you are getting from your affiliates fairly and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to track down. See if they are new clients checking the products out. Noting down the contact information that might be a viable source in the future.

There are lots of resources to sort out. Ads, banners, button ads and sample recommendations to give out because the marketer knows that this is one way of ensuring more sales. Best to stay visible and accessible too.

The affiliate marketer remembered that there are questions to answer from the visitors. This has to be done quickly. Nothing can turn off a customer than an unanswered email.

To prove that the affiliate is working effectively and efficiently, inquiries would have to be paid more attention on. Nobody wants to be ignored and customers are not always the most patient of all people. Quick answer that should appear professional yet friendly too.

In the process of doing all the necessities, the marketer is logged on to a chat room where he or she interacts with other affiliates and those under that same program. This is where they can discuss things on how to best promote their products.

There are things to be learned and it is a continuous process. Sharing tips and advices is a good way of showing support. There may be others out there wanting to join and may be enticed by the discussion that is going on. There is no harm in assuming what opportunities ahead.

The newsletters and ezines were updated days ago, so it is time for the affiliate marketer to see if there are some new things happening in the market. This will be written about in the marketer’s publication to be distributed to the old and new customers.

These same publications are also an important tool in keeping up to date with the newly introduced products. The marketer has put up a sale and promotion that customers may want to know about. Besides, they have to keep up with the deadline of these sales written in the publications.

It is that time to show some appreciation to those who have helped the marketer in the promotions and sale increase. Nothing like mentioning the persons, their sites and the process they have done that made everything worked.

Of course, this will be published in the newsletters. Among the more important information that have been written already.

The marketer still has time to write out recommendations to those who want credible sources for the products being promoted. There is also time to post some comments on how to be a successful affiliate marketer on a site where there are lots of wannabees.

Two objectives done at the same time. The marketer gets to promote the product as well as the program they are in. Who knows, someone may be inclined to join.

Time flies. Missed lunch but is quite contented with the tasks done. Bed time….

Ok, so this may not be all done in a day. But then, this gives you an idea of how an affiliate marketer, a dedicated one that is, spends the marketing day.

Is that success looming in the distance or what?

Why Affiliate Marketing is the Easiest Way To Get Started Making Money Online

Affiliate marketing has become one of the most effective ways to advertise online. It is also one of the easiest ways for anyone with a website to make a profit online. Affiliate Marketing is an agreement between a merchant and a website owner. The website owner, or the affiliate, allows the use of their site for the promotion of the merchant's products by linking to the merchant's website. In exchange, the merchant pays a commission to the affiliate on all sales generated by the affiliate. Every time someone clicks on the link on the affiliate website and proceeds to make a purchase, the affiliate gets a commission. The merchant will pay the affiliate only when a customer clicks on the product link and makes a purchase.

Affiliate marketing programs are described as a win-win situation for both the merchant and the affiliate because of the pay-for-performance scheme. Both the merchant and the affiliate enjoy some benefits in affiliate marketing. There are many benefits on the merchant's side. It gives the merchant a wider market in which to advertise a product or service. Affiliate marketing will give the product or service the maximum exposure that it may not get with other traditional advertising techniques. The more affiliate sites a merchant has, the higher the traffic, which can convert to sales. Affiliate marketing is the equivalent of having an army of sales people who will do the advertising and will only get a commission if a customer purchases.

Meanwhile, since an affiliate marketing relationship is a win-win situation, the affiliate also enjoys many benefits. Foremost among these is the easy way to make a profit. The affiliate can earn by having an ad or link to the merchant's website, which prospective customers will hopefully click and proceed to make a purchase. As soon as the customer clicks on the ad on the affiliate's site, is redirected to the merchant's website and goes on to buy that particular product, the affiliate earns a commission. The more referrals there are the more profit for the affiliate.

Affiliate marketing is an excellent way to earn money while at home. There are virtually no production costs. The product is already developed and proven by the merchant, and all you have to do to find, as many prospects as you can that will bring in the profit for both the merchant and the affiliate. Affiliate programs are usually free to join, so affiliates do not have to worry about start-up costs. There are thousands of products and services you can choose from. You can find affiliate programs for every product under the sun. Surely, there is a product or service out there that is relevant to your website.

In addition, there is absolutely no sales experience necessary. Most affiliate programs offer excellent support when it comes to providing marketing material. The simplicity of affiliate marketing allows you to be an affiliate marketer at the least cost and the most comfort. You can even build a successful affiliate marketing business right in the convenience of your own home. In affiliate marketing, your responsibility is simply to find prospects for the merchant; you do not have to worry about inventory, order processing, and product shipping. These, along with customer service support are the duties of the merchant.

Because of the global reach of the internet, you can easily find thousands of prospects. You can intensify your advertising campaign by exploiting more aggressive and productive strategies such as viral marketing. By attracting more prospects, you also maximize your potential to earn. There are no long-term binding contracts tying you to products that are not making enough money.

Who Are Those People Called Affiliates?

Who are affiliates?

Affiliates fall into three types. For clarity, we have excluded powerhouse shopping properties and large corporate sites. We will call the threetypes power, mid-range, and non-productive affiliates.

1. Power affiliates

Power affiliates, who make a living wage, are a minority of those using affiliate marketing programs. They usually have a network of sites, and spend several hours daily maintaining traffic to these sites. Power affiliates create a large revenue stream for the merchants. Therefore, they enjoy several perks; for instance, power affiliates often have the influence to bargain with merchants for more advantageous deals. Power affiliates often work from home. Many poweraffiliates are also merchants to vendors who want to expand their revenue base. Power affiliates account for roughly 10 percent of all affiliates. Of course, power is a relative term. For example, a highly influential site with a small amount of traffic can command high rates because of its market impact.

2. Mid-Range Affiliates

The second type of affiliates makes some supplemental income. These people often maintain full-time "dirt world" occupations. These affiliates may have one popular site or a network of small sites, but they either control significantly less traffic, or less targeted traffic than the power affiliates, or have difficulty converting page views to clicks, actions, or sales. These affiliates comprise about 10 percent of all affiliates. Merchants like to cultivate these relationships because many mid-range affiliates can go on to be power affiliates.

3. Non-Productive Affiliates

So what about the other 80 percent of affiliates? Unfortunately, they make little or no money. Many of these sign up for a program, intending to use it, but never even put up paying links. Others put up the links, but don’t control enough traffic to support sales. Few just don’t have the 1 - What is Online Affiliate Marketing? An Greathowtoebooks.com eBook • Affiliate Marketing 101 — 13 knack. The majority of non-profitable affiliation results from ignorance or apathy. Affiliate marketing is a competitive business environment, and, as in any industry, many who attempt the business will fail to perform.

Why should I be an affiliate?

The three main reasons to become involved with affiliate marketing are money, dreams, and freedom.

1. Money

You already have a concept. Why not make your knowledge work for you? Strategically placed paying links can bring in extra income. The amount you earn, of course, depends on a number of factors but, if you have visitors, you can harvest this traffic and convert it to revenue.

2. Dreams

Money and dreams are not mutually exclusive, and online affiliate marketing allows you to have both. Here’s how it works. If you always wanted to sell fine jewelry, books, cookware, or othertangible items, now you can. Unfortunately, you don’t get to fondle the merchandise, but you also don’t have to worry about buying, storing, or shipping it.

3. Freedom

Online affiliate marketing allows you the freedom to choose your own schedule, and to work from home, from the road, in the middle of the park, or on the beach. Well I hope this works for you. Need more ...?
